Lightning Pony

Bob Marley famously once said “ In this bright future, you can’t forget your past”. I’m pretty sure that some of Ford’s designers must be fans of the legendary reggae star as is clearly evident in Ford’s awesome new all electric Mustang Mach-E. Although it is completely unrelated to the current gasoline powered mustang coupe, it does share some design traits both inside and out.

Beauty redefined

Ford says that the Mach-E can provide up to 500 km of driving range, all while comfortably seating 5 passengers. The car’s exterior is an artful blend of curves and angles, with a side and front three-quarter profile that makes it look like the lovechild of a Lamborghini Urus and a Jaguar F-Pace. Beautifully flared wheel arches, large alloy wheels and muscular lines lend it a sporty look that makes the car look fast while standing still.

How much does it cost?

The Mach-E is available in several trim levels. Starting from the base model all the way up to the GT Performance Edition with a price ranging in between CAD$ 50,495 all the way up to $82,995 or more depending on the options and features chosen. In addition, it can be chosen with RWD or All wheel drive, depending on the edition you choose which would make it the perfect year-round companion.

A refine interior

On the inside, the Mach-E has a minimalistic yet sleek and futuristic feel to it. With a large, longitudinally mounted center LCD screen and a minimal amount of buttons or levers, this is definitely not like any Mustang interior you’ve ever seen before. A circular center-armrest controller similar to BMW’s i-drive system compliments the touch-screen display while luxurious looking sport seats with side bolsters keep the driver and front passenger firmly planted. A Bang & Olufsen sound system is available in standard in some of the editions as is a panoramic sunroof and rear power lift-gate.

A wide bracket of power options is available, starting at a healthy 290 bhp up to 480 bhp, only available in the GT Performance trim mated to either rear or all wheel drive drivetrains. For more information on the gorgeous new Mach-E, visit www.ford.ca
